Sing Yourself Happy !
Singing with Action for Happiness – April 2013
More and more people are discovering the pure joy of singing – it’s an easy way to get happy as it stimulates all parts of ourselves – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. In a group, it’s an exhilarating community experience !
This is not a choir, but a playshop where you can have fun exploring different ways of expressing yourself with your voice – singing, chanting, improvising, vocalising, sounding and playing voice games. We’ll sing songs from across all musical genres, countries and cultures so the repertoire is varied and interesting, with always something new to learn and experience.
These sessions are open to everyone. You do not need any experience, just willingness to
participate. Uncertain or unpractised singers are especially welcome ! More experienced vocalisers will benefit from the freedom to explore and a varied repertoire.
This is a drop-in group where the content will be different every week – this means I can offer you a wide variety of vocal experiences and I can respond as a leader to the people who turn up on a particular week. As the group develops, and if people come regularly, we may choose to work towards specific public performances or events related to Action for Happiness.
Come and sing yourself happy !
