Philip
Milburn is a
guitarist,
pianist, percussionist, composer and singer-songwriter. He has
been writing and recording his own music for over
20 years.
Throughout this time
he has studied Jazz & Popular Music, Musicianship and Music Workshop Skills
at Goldsmiths College (University of London), reaching Diploma
level.
He
has also trained
at the Findhorn Foundation, with Tonalis (Michael Deason - Barrow), Healing
Sounds (Jonathan Goldman), and has the City & Guilds Adult
& Further Ed. Teachers Certificate.
Philip
has been studying voice with many different teachers
for over 20 years.
He
began teaching guitar 14 years ago to adults and children and
gradually expanded into teaching singing, songwriting, piano,
musicianship and
eventually becoming a music and voice workshop facilitator.
Philip’s
musical path has been as much about building confidence, self
esteem, courage and patience as it has been about rhythm, chords
and notes. His experience of personal & spiritual growth has
included 15 years of teachings with a Native American teacher and
the study of Tantra.
Following the spiritual path has given him
the understanding to be able to help others to break through fear,
self-doubt, judgement and other creative blocks to follow their
musical dreams.
After many years of teaching, Philip is now concentrating on writing an
original musical.
